Ankur Tewari
Ankur Tewari is the creative music architect and producer of Coke Studio Bharat. For his role as music supervisor for the Gully Boy (2019), he picked numerous accolades, including a Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist for the song “Apna Time Aayega”. He led music for the movie Gehraaiyaan (2022), for which he was nominated for Best Lyricist that same year at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA).
In 2023, he joined forces with Indian film directors and writer Zoya Akhtar to launch Tiger Baby Records. His music supervision role continues as he’s worked on The Archies (2023) and Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan (2023) both on Netflix.
Nirmal Roy
Nirmal Roy is a singer/songwriter from Lahore (Pakistan), who started her career at the age of twelve and have many national competitions.
In 2016, she made her official debut in Coke Studio season 9 with the song "Ala Bali". In 2017, she was again invited to sing the track "Jindjaani" in Coke Studio season 11.
She has also done playback for several Pakistani films and drama shows including the title track of the film Chalawa (2019) and the famous drama serial Chupke Chupke (2021) with Ali Zafar.
Bhuwin
Bhuwin is known for his therapeutic poetry and singing abilities.
Through the songs that he writes, composes and sings, he puts a unique take on commonly-felt emotions of life, love and ache. Through these emotions, his songs compel listeners to join-in on the ride.
His music showcases a deep impression of folk which he imbibed from the years spent in Rajasthan and Punjab while growing up. He blends folk with his personal understanding of sufism to compose songs which intend to bring comfort to a restless heart.
Rithisha Padmanbh
After making it to Top 5 in the Star Voice of India (VOI) contest in 2008, Rithisha has come a long way. She has recorded songs with Papon and Harish Shivaramkrishnan and has gotten offers from Monty Sharma and Sukhvinder Singh (judges of the show). Sonu Nigam and Bappi Lahiri have complimented her on her voice's uniqueness and quality, and actor Shiney Ahuja told a radio station that she had great potential.
We, at Mehfil Nights, agree with all of them, as we have seen her wow the audience in multiple genres from Ghazals to Jazz, and from Folk to Bollywood. This lovely woman dreams to some day sing for Priyanka Chopra and have A R Rehman compose music for her.
Nikhil Iyer
Nikhil Iyer is a 23 year old Indian singer & composer, rising from America through his raw and soulful catalog of work across multiple languages. He was named the #4 RADAR India Artist by Spotify.
He is known for his live events, recognized for his excellence in performance with a Voice & a Guitar. He has been featured on the biggest billboard in NYC for his performance at New York Fashion Week. After his first performance at Mehfil Nights, he also composed a successful single 'Arz e Dil' featuring Coke Studio Pakistan artist Nirmal Roy and has opened for Ankur Tewari in Seattle.
Aarthi Kumar
Aarthi Kumar, a singer-songwriter born of Indian descent and raised in Dubai, Aarthi is trained in Indian classical arts, including Carnatic music and Bharatnatyam. She did her first solo stage performance at the age of twelve, when she performed for Shankar Mahadevan. She has also auditioned for Indian musical genius, A.R.Rahman, and has been involved with her a capella group ‘Taal Tadka’ in college.
The development of Aarthi’s musical style is the result of her affinity for pop, R&B, and alternative music. Aarthi has a mellifluous and powerful voice, with a thrilling performance style. Her music is best described as “contemporary, fun and youthful”, while signifying deep meaning.
B-Leaf
At the age of six, B-Leaf started training as a vocalist in Hindustani classical and then the Indian percussion instrument tabla. Later, when he turned ten, he began learning the violin. But it was guitar that empowered him to embrace various styles of music he had grown up with, and gave him the opportunity to sing and play together.
After he bought his first guitar, there was no looking back. He started writing songs after songs and has never been afraid to experiment with genres. His only aim, as B-Leaf is to continue making music that's honest and speaks from the heart; music that brings back memories about stories from life that are just difficult to let go of.
